Review: Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

Dermalogica Microfoliant

When I received this in my Favourites Set, I was SO excited to try it out. I’ve heard so many celebs talk about it and only ever heard good things.

For all skin types and comes in a really cute little pot to try (like all of the products in the favourites set - super easy to take on holiday too!).

Their number one exfoliant is a gentle and rice-based exfoliating powder which activates upon contact with water, releasing Papain, Salicylic Acid and Rice Enzymes that micro-exfoliate dead cells.

When you pour it into your hand, you wonder how its going to make a face wash! But, it’s incredible!! It instantly left my skin feeling smoother and brighter.

Plus it’s formulated without any artificial fragrances and colours. If that doesn't convince you, then let me tell you this, the Daily Microfoliant is Oprah's FAVOURITE product to use!

After using it for a week, I’m now officially obsessed!

Review: Dermalogica Age Smart Multi Vitamin Power Firm

Dermalogica Age Smart MultiVitamin Power Firm is a serum for the delicate eye and lip area. I have quite bad circles under my eyes so always up for trying something new. The ingredients in this include protective Silicones and Red Seaweed Extract, which are great for skin firming.

An infusion of vitamins A, C, and E help accelerate skin's natural repair process, strengthen elasticity, improve smoothness, and defend against Reactive Oxygen Species (free radicals). Silicones melt gently into skin to help diminish fine lines and smooth texture.

I simply dabbed a very small amount under my eye area and patted gently into my skin. The consistency is very smooth, and leaves your eye area feeling smoothed and nourished.

A subtle and nice fragrance.

I would buy this for my mum, but not for myself. The high concentration of quality ingredients makes this very rich and has been designed for ageing skin – don’t think I am quite in need of it yet!

Take Care of Your Hair in the Summer Sun

There is nothing worse than having your hair beautifully coloured before going away on holiday and returning with a completely different colouring due to the sun! OR going on holiday and coming back with hair that looks and feels like straw... NOT hot.

Below are my top tips on how to look after your hair in these coming summers months...

What is the best way to protect your hair colour?

To prevent your hair from fading, cover your hair by wearing a hat or scarf as these offer the best protection. Each time you apply sun cream, apply a UV protection hair spray as this will offer great protection and will include an anti-oxidant which will replenish moisture levels in the hair.

You also don’t want your hair to look dry in the sun. We recommend using a colour shampoo and conditioner like Bed Head Colour Goddess, which prevents your hair from losing its healthy shine and will safeguard it from fading.

How do I keep my hair hydrated?

A great tip is to moisturise your hair by applying a conditioner to it while you lay in the sun. This will help stop the colour fading and will feel wonderful once you rinse.
