New Hair Resolutions

As 2015 gets into full swing, we’re becoming increasingly aware of the new trends and the latest looks in fashion and beauty that surround its new beginnings. However, the key focus that everybody seems to be talking about is the latest styles in hair. Whether they’re strolling down the catwalk or posing on the red carpet, we, as aspiring young ladies are hugely influenced by the latest styles of our role models. Either models themselves, or actresses straight off the big screen, we may have finally come to terms with the fact we will never be them, but we can at least aspire to look like them.

So what hairstyles are hot right now, and how do we ourselves obtain them? (Preferably through minimal effort and without the £200 salon price tag!)

From the recent red carpet events of the Golden Globes and The Critics’ Choice Awards, to the catwalk display at Berlin Fashion Week, we’re not short of inspiration. ‘The bob’ has made a brash comeback with the help of style icon Emma Stone who recently made the chop for her appearance in the Broadway revival of Cabaret. We’re having some major hair envy after seeing Angelina Jolie’s Hollywood curls and Rosamund Pink’s edgy up do at the Critics’ Choice Awards. And if her Victoria Secret figure wasn’t coveted enough, Bar Rafaeli managed to pull off the sought after ‘natural’ look effortlessly at the Stylight Fashion Influencer Awards in Berlin.

To style your hair to model the latest trends, here are the products we suggest will help you to get #TheSalonLook:

‘The Bob’

2015 is the year of the bob and if it’s good enough for Jourdan Dunn’s, it’s good enough for us. Don’t be fooled by thinking that your only going to get one style out of this cut, versatility is just a product away. From wavy locks on the Mischino catwalk to a straightened and sleek performance in the S/S15 Burberry range, Jourdan is showing all those non-bob believers how it should be done. Try using Bed Head Control Freak Frizz Control; this is going to leave hair with an extreme shine and a straight finish that will hold even in the harshest of weather.

Curly locks

Channel that old Hollywood glam and vamp up your hair by adding some sultry curls. Think Heidi Klum at the Golden Globes and opt for a volume-inducing product like Evo Shape Vixen Body Giving Juice. This product is going to give anyone’s hair no matter how fine or flat, a much-needed boost.

The ‘up shot’

This saucy look is making a poignant stamp on the red carpets this awards season, and no wonder with celebs like our latest style crush Felicity Jones, executing the slicked ‘up do’ so flawlessly. While this tamed look may seem like an unachievable feat, do not fear as we have the solution! TIGI’s S-Factor Smooth Lusterizer will control that annoying frizz and add a head turning shine that we are definitely lusting after.

‘Au naturale’

To get that natural ‘just walked off the beach in Malibu’ style, look no further than Kevin Murphy’s Hair Resort Spray. Quick and uncomplicated, this product can be applied straight onto damp hair. Before you know it, you’ll be well on your way to joining the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Cameron Diaz in beach hair glory!

Maintain a hold

When you’ve got that ‘oh so desired’ look, make sure it all stays in place with Bed Head Hard Head Hairspray. Drying instantly, this hairspray is going to ensure your new look doesn’t falter in wintery weather and will leave none of that stickiness that comes with similar products. Use this after styling and you’ll be well on the way to achieving your new hair resolutions.
